Pacfic Grain was established in 1982 by Lee
Perkins, originally as an animal feed company which
served the San Joaquin Valley and western United States with quality
grain feeds.
By 1989, with a larger
warehouse facility and an excellent customer service reputation, the
company expanded into a dry goods supply business and our name was
changed to Pacific
Grain & Foods to reflect the evolved business plan. Our Foods Division
was established to service the growing demand for edible beans,
rice, grains, and spices from around the world. In 1990 we closed our feed
business to concentrate on supplying the American WestCoast food service
industry.
Between 1991 and 1995, we
had our largest expansion, adding our Industrial Sales and Organics
Divisions. Our facilities were certified Kosher and we developed a
successful private label line, "Dionicia's Mexican Food Products."
The turn of the century has brought
our most exciting additions and growth with our wholesale and retail
food sales. Pacific Grain & Foods has moved and running three warehouse facilities located in northwest Fresno. We have recently added a
new roasted nut product line and production facility that allows us to
fresh roast and specialty season nuts, produce nut butters, grind and
package spices to order, produce specialty flours and meals such as
Garbanzo and Tahini, or private label package.
We are now certified Kosher through
Heart K and certified Organic through the Guaranteed Organic
Certification Agency, known as G.O.C.A.
With a large listing of valued food service
customers, Pacific Grain & Foods is one of the West Coast's largest
handlers and specialty packagers of different varieties of beans, spices, seeds for sprouting, chilies and edible nuts,
plus dried fruit, rice and wheat products.
Pacific Grain &
Foods also has the ability to custom create, or use your existing
private company logo/label, on any of our product packages, varying
from one to 50 pounds. Combining this with our full LTL trucking
line, timely quotes, and quality products at bulk rates, there's no
doubt why Pacific Grain & Foods has the most loyal customer base in
the industry.
